If the car that you’re looking at (pictured above, folks) is one of the electric cars Nissan plans to launch in two years, then I got to get me one of those. Judging by its looks, it sure looks like one impressive car.
Of course, this announcement of Nissan isn’t a surprise. Given that the increase in fuel prices have shown no signs of slowing down, car companies have shifted to the production of vehicles which rely on a different source of power, with electricity being one of them. So what does the upcoming Nissan electric car have to offer? Well, aside from its good looks, the new electric car will be able to give you 100 miles and it will be designed as a zero tailpipe emissions model. This means that the new model will rely solely on electricity and won’t have any gas engines as an alternative or back-up source of power.
Since the car will be relying solely on electricity, Nissan has stepped up its efforts to work on having a number of charging stations installed. One of its targets is the state of Tennessee, which holds the largest electric utility, the Tennessee Valley Authority. The company has also worked in establishing charging stations outside the U.S., particularly Denmark, Israel and Portugal.
Despite being an all-electric car, Nissan is optimistic about its chances in the market. I’m hoping for the same thing. This car just looks to good for it to drop off the face of the planet.
