If you're not satisfied with your vehicle's oxygen sensor, maybe it's time to replace it with something more useful: an air fuel ratio (AFR) sensor. When exhaust emissions flow through the AFR sensor, the device determines the exact amount of fuel and air burned in the engine's cylinders. If the air-fuel mixture is rich (too much oxygen), the sensor alerts the engine control module (ECM) through a negative current. Oppositely, a lean air-fuel mixture causes the sensor to send the ECM a positive current. The AFR sensor is more functional than the oxygen sensor in a way that the AFR sensor provides a real-time, more accurate reading of your vehicle's emissions. With data from an AFR sensor, the ECM is able to consistently keep the air-fuel mixture at the ideal level. Sound appealing to you? Check out our catalogs to get an air fuel ratio sensor for your vehicle.
• Helps the engine achieve more efficient fuel combustion
• Gives the ECM an almost exact reading of exhaust gases
• Allows quicker adjustments of the air-fuel mixture
